FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt (hourly)
Key duties: Provides accounting support to Glenwood High School for all accounting related functions including but not limited to purchase orders, budgeting, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, cash box management, and all other duties as assigned by the High School Principal or District Finance staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in bookkeeping required
Ability to pass fingerprint criminal and DCFS background check
Special Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:
Effective oral and written communication skills
Operate standard office equipment
Read, learn, and interpret complex rules and regulations
Apply abstract rules to a wide variety of actual situations
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Computer proficiency (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel)
Keep track of multiple projects simultaneously while managing multiple interruptions and still completing projects or work assignments on time
Maintains necessary and appropriate professional confidentiality
Strong bookkeeping skills and detailed oriented
Ability to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision
Demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
