Rochester City School District is Hiring a Vice Principal (East EPO) Near Rochester, NY
- Assists the principal in providing for the safety and security of personnel, buildings and grounds.
- Oversees functional areas as assigned by the principal.
- Builds collaborative relationships with faculty and staff.
- Acts as an instructional leader.
- Collects, analyses, synthesizes and distributes data to enhance teacher development, student performance and communication with stakeholders.
- Collaborates with social emotional support function of the school.
- Helps coordinate family and community involvement in a way that positively impacts the educational mission of the school.
- Conducts conferences with students, parents, staff, and agencies to assist in resolving educational, behavioral, and social problems of students.
- Accesses and develops professional knowledge to support the educational mission of the school.
- Serves as primary support for a student family group.
- Teaches up to one class in his/her area of certification, or jointly with a teacher who is certified in that area.
- Implements student policies through pupil, parent and staff conferences.
- In conjunction with the principal, provides support for all building safety functions.
- Attends community meetings.
- Participates in faculty and staff evaluation process as per the negotiated APPR agreement.
- Performs related duties as assigned by principal.
- Master’s degree
- New York State Teacher Certification
- Five (5) years of appropriate teaching and/or administrative experience
- New York State Certification for School Administrator and Supervisor or School District Administrator
