Compensation and Benefits

The RCLS Custodial position is a part-time, hourly position. Benefits for a part-time position are granted. The wage for a custodial position starts at $13.80 and may increase based on experience.

*Our part-time custodial position may be paired with another part-time position at RCLS to create a full-time opportunity.

Job Description Summary

To perform a variety of custodial duties including but not limited to cleaning, vacuuming, trash deposal, waxing, buffing, set up / tear down for scheduled site events, and assisting with preventative maintenance such as painting and repairs, as assigned and scheduled.

Qualifications

• Compliance with all RCLS protocols and procedures.
• Careful and secure treatment of all information and data, with particular emphasis on that information and data designated confidential.
• Able to use basic technology for the purpose of communication, inventory, and other related tasks.
• Interest and willingness to seek opportunities for continuing education and development appropriate to one’s position in the organization.
• Willing and able to model the Christian faith within his/her areas of responsibility and effectively communicate with school personnel and students.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review site custodial schedules and plans work activities accordingly to make the best use of time and materials.
• Confer with the Facilities Manager or site Principal if there are questions on the priority of scheduled work or special assignments.
• Keep the assigned site in a safe, orderly, and clean condition through the efficient performance of work assignments.
• Complete work assignments in a manner, in terms of times and activities, which causes as little disruption as possible to student learning and activities.
• Respond to spills and necessary clean-ups in a manner consistent with established protocols to help ensure a safe and hazard-free environment.
• Exercise care and caution in performing all assigned accountabilities.
• When receiving requests from site personnel and based on the time and resource requirements of such requests, respond accordingly.
• Develop cooperative and productive work relationships with the site staff, Facilities Manager and Principal.
• Willingness to work additional hours as requested by Facilities Manager.
