Robinson Terrance Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is a 120-bed long term and short-term facility, located in beautiful Stamford, New York. We are proud to offer a full continuum of premium healthcare services provided by highly trained and skilled personnel with years of experience. Our commitment to our guests extends beyond having an expert staff, with state-of-the-art equipment and resources to enable them to achieve maximum success throughout their stay.

We are currently weeking a Full-time Unit Clerk; Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m.

Duties Include:

  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Maintains an accurate and complete clinical record on the nursing unit.
  • Organizes resident chart in designated chart order.
  • Thins charts on a monthly basis according to facility guidelines, files thinned material in HIM Department.
  • Answers telephone calls and reports information to nurses.
  • Assures chart is on the nursing unit for new admissions, and chart is moved to new unit upon resident transfer.
  • Copies medical records as requested for transfers, discharges and/or appointments
  • Organizes unit so that medical and paper supplies are available to meet staff needs.
  • Keeps all file folders with preprinted current forms utilized by staff on a regular basis stocked, adding new files when necessary.
  • Files loose papers in HIM Department as directed by Director.
  • Uploads dictated reports to EMR.
  • Updates MD/NP list indicating date of visit and practitioner credentials.
  • Operates a console telephone switchboard in order to relay incoming, outgoing and interoffice calls. Greets and receives visitors and directs as appropriate.

Necessary Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience with hospitality, seniors, health care and service delivery.
  • Customer Service/Hospitality background-emphasis highly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
