Robinson Emergency Medical Service (REMS) is seeking multiple applicants for the positions of Full Time and Part Time Emergency Medical Technicians.

About Us:

• Located 10 miles outside of Downtown Pittsburgh, our primary response area is nearly 20 square miles and consists of the Township of Robinson, Thornburg Borough, and Rosslyn Farms Borough. Our response area is diverse and consists of residential, commercial, industrial, highway, river, railroad, trails, woods, & busy commerce areas. We assist Allegheny Health Network with both BLS & ALS interfacility transports. Robinson EMS also provides immediate mutual aid to our local EMS Partners. We are dispatched to roughly 4,500 calls for service per year.

Job Requirements:

• Pennslyvania EMT Certification or ability to obtain PA EMT Certification before the start date
• 18 years old or Older
• Prior EMS experience is preferred, but not mandatory. We encourage newly certified EMTs to apply - We will train you!
• EVOC/EVDT
• BLS CPR Certification
• Criminal Background Check / Child Abuse Clearances
• Ability to perform all key functions of an Emergency Medical Technician and to operate within the Pennsylvania BLS scope of practice & protocols.

Scheduling:

• We are currently seeking EMTs to fill openings with options of 24 & and 10-hour shifts.
• Schedules are released 4-5 weeks at a time
• Preferred Staffing: 2-3 Ambulances during daylight hours; 1 Ambulance overnight

Station:

• Robinson EMS will be moving into a new station in the 2nd quarter of 2024!
• Our new station includes a large conference room, locker room, showers, private bunk rooms, crew room, charting area, full kitchen, and a 7-bay garage.

Equipment:

• 4 New ALS Type III Ambulances (2x Delivered in 2019 and 2x Delivered in 2024)
• MCI/Firefighter Rehab Truck
• 6x6 Polaris UTV
• EMS Response Motorcycle
• Stryker Power Stretchers
• Defibtech Mechanical CPR Devices on every truck
• Participation in BLS administration of Nitrous Oxide Trial
