Robin AI is Hiring a Junior Legal and Product Specialist Near New York, NY

About Robin AI
Robin AI is on a mission to revolutionize the legal industry by simplifying contracts and making law accessible to everyone. We utilize cutting-edge machine learning and contract software, enhancing traditional legal services and bringing together experts in engineering, AI, and law. Robin AI has recently raised $26m in Series B funding and has seen an impressive 5x revenue growth in the last 12 months.

We're looking for passionate, resourceful and collaborative people to join Robin. If you're motivated about leveraging technology to make essential business services more accessible, come join us!

About this Role

The Junior Legal and Product Specialist role is central to supporting Robin AI's growth by developing legal talent that understands our business and platform from the start. You will get hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for global clients across sectors, right at the heart of our legal tech model.

This is a chance to take a less traditional route in legal services and build knowledge of the tech alongside your existing legal knowledge, whether just out of school or with some experience. What sets this apart is working directly on the Robin platform and later having input into further platform development.

We welcome passionate candidates whether looking for a first legal role after university, or with a few years of paralegal experience in law firms or in-house. We will provide full training through a bootcamp to get you drafting and reviewing core documents like NDAs to the level needed.

What you'll do

  • Have a strong interest in learning how to draft, review and negotiate different contracts to a high standard and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Show an interest in legal technology and its place in disrupting legal services.
  • Leverage well-rounded experience from different areas, whether part-time jobs, internships or extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain high standards of written communication with clear attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated to continuously learn and develop your skills, with support from others when needed.
  • Apply an interest in business, with a keen commercial sense and grasp of financial language.
  • Thrive in a stimulating, diverse and intellectually challenging environment that requires collaboration across disciplines

What about my skills?

Must-have Experience:

  • Have a GPA of 3.5 or above in an undergraduate degree.
  • Be based in New York (or looking to relocate before you start in the role). This role requires three days a week in the office.
  • Have the right to work in the United States without restrictions as we are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Compensation at Robin AI

  • Salary: $65,000-$75,000
  • Equity package: When you help build Robin AI, everyone deserves to be an owner.

The Interview Process

  • Application Screening – based on the requirements above.
  • Technical Test – a remote test that you will have three days to complete and return.
  • Technical Interview with the Legal and Product Team.
  • In-person assessment day - Based at our office in Lexington Avenue, this will include in-person interviews as well as a presentation by the candidate.

Benefits at Robin AI

At Robin AI, we put people first— we believe a great product is inextricably linked to a great internal community.

We are a quickly growing, cross-functional team that values supporting each other's development. As part of the team, you can expect:

  • Flexible working from home on Mondays and Fridays.
  • 15 days PTO, excluding national holidays, cultural leave, and birthday leave.
  • Technology to enable you to work seamlessly from the office or home.
  • Medical & Dental Insurance, Vision Coverage, Short and Long-term Disability, Life Insurance, Flex spending and HSA
  • 401k Retirement

We are deliberate about the culture we are building and are committed to creating an inclusive environment that attracts the best talent from diverse backgrounds. Whether it is joining the social committee to help plan events, discussing gender equality in tech, or taking advantage of our generous employee benefits scheme, we want you to find your space within the Robin community.

From our offices in Lexington Avenue, you will have access to all of the WeWork amenities including co-working space, pool tables, table tennis, wellness room, free barista-made coffee and free beer in the evenings.
