Robeson Health Care Corporation is Hiring a Dental Office Assistant Near Lumberton, NC

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Dental Office Assistant is a professional responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the dental center. This involves assisting the Dental Office Manager with ensuring facility safety, cleanliness, coordinating patient and provider schedules to maximize resources and to provide for adequate levels of support staff at all times.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist with coordinating patient flow for dental providers at the dental center, ensuring proper staff utilization.

2. Assist with ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of gathering patient information and data. Also, manages the patient and encounter related information entered into the computer system at their particular location. Will respond to requests of Medical Information Systems Coordinator in specific billing areas affecting Front Office Staff.

3. Assist with dental records, including: Maintaining the confidentiality, security, and physical safety of patient timely retrieval, and distribution of dental records; and responsible for maintaining a predetermined, organized dental records format. Ensures that (except as required by law) any record that contains clinical, social, financial, or other data on a particular patient is treated in a strictly confidential manner and is reasonably protected from loss, tampering, alteration, destruction, and unauthorized or inadvertent disclosure of information.

4. Ensure patients are treated with kindness, dignity, and respect both in the office and on the telephone.

5. Provide patients with needed information.

6. Maintain the confidentiality of Robeson Health Care Corporation and the patients/clients that the corporation serves.

7. Perform other necessary duties as required by the Robeson Health Care Corporation to meet the goal of providing primary health care services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A minimum of a high school diploma with two years in a dental office setting

2. Demonstrated experience with dental office management computer systems and databases.

3. A thorough knowledge of dental office procedures/practices, billing and collection policy and ICD/CPT codes.

4. Must have a valid North Carolina driver's license.

5. The ability to speak/write Spanish fluently is a huge plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
