Robeson County is Hiring a Public Health Nurse II Near Lumberton, NC
Example of DutiesEmployee in this position will provide Postpartum/Newborn Home visit assessments. This position requires substantial specialized nursing skills to assess the physical, emotional and socioeconomic status of the family and use the assessment to guide interventions and/or referrals. This position requires 60 home visits per month, average of 3 visits per work day. Must be a self-motivated nurse with time management skills. Applicant must have excellent communication skills to work with the residents of Robeson County and coordinate referrals from Southeastern Health.
Education and ExperienceGraduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. Degree in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and one year of Public Health Nursing experience; or Master’s in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; or graduation from a school of professional nursing and two years of professional nursing experience including one year of Public Health Nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the N.C. Board of Nursing.
