Legal Assistant

We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Fees and Costs Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of fees and costs associated with foreclosure cases, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the process.

Responsibilities:
1. Billing and Invoicing: Prepare accurate billing statements and invoices for foreclosure cases, including fees, costs, and expenses incurred.
2. Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of all costs associated with foreclosure proceedings, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and regulations.
3. Documentation Management: Maintain organized records of all fees, costs, and expenses related to foreclosure cases, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
4. Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients regarding fees and costs, providing clear explanations and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
5. Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to fees and costs in foreclosure proceedings.
6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the fees and costs management process.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to support the overall success of foreclosure cases.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in a similar role within a legal environment, preferably in foreclosure law.
· Strong understanding of billing procedures, cost analysis, and financial management.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
· Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Excel and billing software.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Knowledge of Pennsylvania & New Jersey foreclosure laws and regulations is a plus.
