INTRINSIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the patient care, in consultation with the Clinic Director. Teamwork, customer service and performance improvement are important responsibilities of this job

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Comply with the Facility’s Comprehensive Compliance Plan (CPP) which includes but is not limited to: Business & Clinical Operations, Environmental Health & Safety, HIPAA, Human Resources and Code of Conduct as well as all facility policies and procedures and educational requirements associated the CCP

· Comply with all local, state and federal regulations training and instruction requirements as well as any other standards that govern healthcare services provision

· Manage, in consultation with the Owner & HR Director, the operations of patient care

· Understand, relate, implement, review/revise and enforce clinical operations and other operational policies, procedures, guidelines and compliance mandates

· Train new Physical Therapy Technicians PRN.

· Oversee patient/client and patient care coordinator scheduling

· Participate in patient and staff scheduling plan development, disclosure, monitoring and implementation based on, but not limited to:

· Volume

· Cost containment

· Staff availability

· Carry out all position applicable regulatory/compliance duties

· Efficiently manage clinician’s schedule for 100% patient capacity

· Create a welcoming environment for all customers

· Perform general reception, scheduling, collections of patient payments, clerical and other duties as necessary or requested

· Prepare treatment area for patient by following prescribe procedures and protocols

· Assist patient in applying or removing assistive or supportive devices

· Prepare hot/cold packs as needed

· Support or stabilize patients to assist the physical therapist

· Maintain and clean fitness equipment, bathroom, and general clinic area

· Other duties as assigned by supervisor

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Attention to detail—mathematical and data processing

· Advanced computer and software skills and proficiency

· Software/hardware updates and maintenance procedures

· Software programs: Billing & practice management system, Excel, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, etc.

· System Management

· Communication skills—written, verbal and general interactive

· Organizational skills—priority setting, file maintenance, report generation and multi-task time management

· Employee must pass a background check, which will be reviewed by Roberts Physical Therapy for substantially related convictions to the job.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Working towards a Bachelor of Science in Biology or substitute degree with the intent of becoming a physical therapist; knowledge of anatomy and function.

· CPR certified on an annual basis, initial within one year of employment.

EXPERIENCE:

· Customer service experience preferred, but not required.

ABILITIES:

· Ability to communicate and work with various types of activities and people.

· Ability to relate to employees, patients, physicians, and all levels of management to develop and maintain effective work/patient relationships.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Consistent with Industry PDC’s or minimally:

· Sitting frequently for 1-2 hours uninterrupted

· Lifting occasionally (50 pounds)

· Push/Pull occasionally (75 pounds)

· Carrying up to 25 pounds

· Bending & reaching occasionally

· Walking frequently to access other personnel

· Works directly with patients and may not be able to social distance when hands on treatment is clinically necessary.

· Viewing monitor screen/using keyboard frequently >1 hour duration

· Has the potential for Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure from work duties
