The ideal Director, Safety and Compliance is responsible for providing incident-free customer service by working with branches and managing company compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations.

Responsibilities and requirements will include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • 10 years’ experience improving the safety of plant operations or transportation required.
  • Supervisory level experience in chemical/gas manufacturing preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements required.
  • Experience with drivers and knowledge of DOT requirements preferred.
  • Expert in incident reporting, incident investigation, root cause analysis,incident software administration, and compliance management.
  • Experience with planning and implementing company safety improvement for sales, production, distribution, warehousing, and tank installation activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills. Strong Proficiency in the Microsoft Windows environment; Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
  • Goal orientated, well organized and attentive.
  • Up to 30% travel required.
  • Strong experience coaching and supporting safety and performance improvement at all employee levels.
  • Strong leadership and self-motivational skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
