Robert & Sons Aluminum LLC. is hiring for the position of general machine operator. This position is a full time role, working Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:45 pm with a 45 minute lunch. Eligible candidates for the position of general machine operator must have a valid driver's license, with reliable transportation, and will be subject to background check and drug screen.

Key responsibilities for the general machine operator include (and are not limited to):

1. Operate and monitor machinery including coil slitters, cut to length lines, shears, blanking machines, die punches, and other equipment as needed.

2. Set up machines according to specifications, ensuring proper settings for material thickness, speed, and other parameters.

3. Inspect materials to ensure they meet quality standards before and after cutting.

4. Monitor machine operations to identify any issues or malfunctions and perform troubleshooting as needed.

5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper storage of materials and tools.

6. Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

7. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress, issues, and any necessary adjustments.

8. Adhere to production schedules and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications for the general machine operator include:

1. Proven experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metal industry and familiarity with operating various types of machinery used in metal processing.

2. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand machine operations and adjustments.

3. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

5. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

7. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

8. Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.

9. Forklift experience a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
