The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions including financial statement production, cash flow projections, budgeting, and pay application processing. This position offers an exciting opportunity for accounting professionals looking to develop their skills and contribute to a dynamic team.Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Controller to successfully complete the month end, quarter end, and year end closing process.Prepare and record journal entries.Develop and maintain budgets related to real estate and property management.Process and confirm accuracy of construction pay applications.Assist with underwriting investment opportunities.Review, analyze, and communicate findings from financial data and banking/lender requirements.Manage fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation.Prepare general ledger account reconciliations.Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements.Contribute to the internal controls and procedures ensuring GAAP compliance.Maintain thorough and organized financial records.Regularly communicate with outside investors.
