The individual in this role will be primarily responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting services, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local financial requirements. The role also includes providing training and development for the team, reviewing technical and quality purposes, and managing communication between upper management and the team.Responsibilities:• Oversee the management of the accounting team, ensuring productivity and efficiency targets are met.• Provide training and development to the team in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.• Review technical and quality aspects, providing feedback and support to the team where applicable.• Perform general ledger account reconciliations, ensure accurate reporting, and verify data.• Make recommendations to clients in line with company objectives.• Monitor and suggest improvements for accounting reporting and recording procedures.• Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation, and maintaining compliance.• Support timely monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all assigned client’s operational management accounts.• Maintain and update records and reports for profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets.• Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients by understanding their needs and anticipating them in advance.• Coordinate internal and external resources to manage and expedite workflow.• Stay current with company offerings and industry trends.• Oversee and achieve organizational goals while upholding best practices.
