Jackie Meza with Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant for a thriving, fast-paced company. In this role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. What you get to do every single day- Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner- Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives- Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP- Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation- Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision- In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts- Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation- Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
