Road Commission for Oakland County is Hiring an Engineering Inspector I/II - SID (Open Positions: 1) Near Oakland, MI

Complete technician and inspector assignments both in-house and in the field.
Serve as the inspection/technical specialist in subdivision road development activities (e.g. storm sewers, sub-local road construction, primary road approaches).
Perform a broad range of activities related to the development of plans for road construction including but not limited to learning AutoCAD Civil 3D design, obtaining field measurements of existing facilities, researching and keeping records, computations, plan preparation and reproduction.
Confers with RCOC engineering personnel on SID projects, or as it may relate to citizen concerns.
Work collaboratively with contractors, developers, etc. in evaluating solutions to construction concerns or problems.
May participate in public meetings to present and implement the RCOC special assessment program to citizens.
Use job-related software and other information processing systems for record-keeping, correspondence, etc.
Must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County.
Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.
Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.
