Position Overview :

Ideal candidates will have strong commercial construction estimating experience, a strong trade and vendor network, be a self-starter, team player and be motivated with a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities :

• Complete project budgets and detailed estimates, including detailed quantity take-off and pricing for self performed trades.?
• Perform scope assessments and prepare and issue Scope of Work to bidders.?
• Establish bidder list for each project and issue bid invitations.?
• Distribute bid documents to subs.? Post bid documents in online Plan Room using SharePoint.?
• Set up bid forms.?
• Prepare preliminary schedule for bid purposes.?
• Maintain record copy of bid documents.?
• Prepare scope of work for each trade to be used in subcontracts.?
• Prepare bid tabulation for each trade and recommendation for award.?
• Conduct turn over meetings with Project Manager and Superintendent.?
• Assist with Business Development proposals.?
• Organize and prepare written proposals to clients including Letters of Interest, Qualification Statements, and Requests for Proposals.?

Qualifications :

• BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (Preferred).
• 5 -10 years in the lead role, estimating commercia new construction and renovations.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong technical and communication skills are critical
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proficiency in construction estimation software and tools (Bluebeam, Plan Swift, RS Means).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of Procore, Microsoft Office (preferred)
