Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and creative Visual Merchandiser to help our design team and take the lead in designing and executing visually captivating booth displays for our apparel line. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a deep understanding of visual aesthetics, and the ability to create immersive brand experiences that resonate with our target audience. Their primary goal is to attract buyer’s attention, increase sales, and provide an excellent in-person experience.

Responsibilities:

• Design and create visually appealing booth displays that showcase our apparel line in a compelling and attractive manner.
• Develop and implement creative concepts that align with our brand identity and target market.
• Identify key messages and setting a clear image of the end result.
• Source and select props, fixtures, and materials to enhance the visual presentation of the booth.
• Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual storytelling.
• Collaborate with assistant merchandisers to revise and present design ideas.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in visual merchandising to continually enhance the effectiveness of our booth displays.
• Manage and coordinate the setup and takedown of booth displays at trade shows, events, and other relevant venues [this may be one time or on a recurring basis]
• Update displays to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes.
• Interface with suppliers and sourcing elements
• Research lifestyle, demographics, and design trends
• Work within budget constraints and timelines to deliver high-quality visual merchandising solutions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a visual merchandiser or in a similar role, preferably in the fashion or retail industry.
• Strong creative portfolio showcasing expertise in visual storytelling, spatial design, and prop styling.
• Solid experience in field visual merchandising, including window displays, signs, interior displays, and space utilization.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and 3D rendering tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of current trends in fashion, design, and retail to inform creative decision-making.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for creating visually stunning and impactful displays.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Demonstrable visual design skills with a strong retail merchandising portfolio.
• Solid experience in field visual merchandising, including window displays, signs, interior displays, and space utilization.
• Knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices

Compensation:

Project based fee. Competitive.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.41 - $24.58 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
