Summary: Individual will be responsible for using equipment to mix or blend raw materials/chemicals according to specifications, weighing or measuring ingredients so that they exactly match the requirements of the formulation, making color pigment additions and adjustments, and preparing drawdowns for color approval.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Will perform general production operator functions such as:

• Raw Material Handling : Transporting, staging, counting and documenting raw materials.
• Batch Production : Measuring, adding, mixing and blending raw materials into finished batches
• Filling : Transporting, Weighing, labeling and packaging products into customer containers for shipment
• Color Matching : Tint and mix products to color specifications, preparing drawdowns for approval.

Role will include and require:

• Understanding and following standardized work instructions.
• Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensuring proper material & lot identification and traceability.
• Maintaining good workplace housekeeping.
• Completing routine paperwork and documentation.
• Completing required safety and job training.
• General understanding of color theory and space.
• Making precise small pigment adds using an analytical scale.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED and 1-3 years of work experience in a production/manufacturing environment. Batch processing in a chemical Manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.

Certifications:

Powered industrial/forklift experience a plus but not required.
