Position Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the client’s business unit(s) with the negotiations, management, and coordination of various supply chain contracts (outsourced manufacturing and commodity procurement) and related projects.
Responsibilities
Contracts Manager
Lead top level manufacturing outsourcing contract negotiations and commodity level contract negotiations
Align operational strategies to business needs in order to yield high-quality deliverables
Collaborate with technical, operations, finance, and legal teams to negotiate and execute procurement contracts
Directly engage with existing ODM/OEM partners and commodity suppliers to resolve contractual issues
Utilize various software applications to manage a contract’s life cycle from drafts to execution to amendments/revisions to retirement
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement new strategies and tactics across contract life cycle management processes and practices
Project Manager
Manage assigned projects end-to-end using the appropriate project management framework, methodology, standards, compliance, and best practices to ensure successful delivery of projects on scope, schedule, and budget and risk management
Understand, communicate, and provide program/project information to key client internal and external stakeholders
Act as point contact between direct team and other supply chain stakeholders to maintain open communication and alignment on business objectives
Develop monthly, quarterly and annual data reports, presentations, and dashboards to enable stakeholders to capture, track, and communicate project status issues to inform business decisions up to the executive level
Analyze processes, technology, resource needs and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of current and future projects
Collaborate with subject matter experts to deep dive into processes and data to analyze and illustrate impact of issues which may impact supply chain capacity, lead times and/or reliability
Identify, propose, and implement business process/workflow improvements
Occasionally work 40 hours in a week to meet certain team milestones
Perform other duties as needed
Education and Credential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred
Eligible to work in the US without RLA sponsorship for employment visa status
Experience Requirements
10 years of experience in a contracts management role including project/program management responsibilities within a Procurement or Operations organization
Negotiated and managed outsourced manufacturing contracts and commodity procurement contracts including managing contract life cycles
Used Agile/Scrum management methodologies on large scale projects to have consistently met deadlines, successfully triaged changing priorities, identified risks, and tracked issues to resolution
Worked on cross functional teams across consumer and/or commercial hardware or software products and services
Created data reports, presentations, and dashboards using data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI
Experience using different CRM or ERP platforms e.g., SAP (Ariba)
Experience successfully triaging changing priorities and being flexible on business needs
Experience with regular and direct communication with external partners
PMP or PMI certification preferred
Skills Requirements
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
High proficiency using productivity software such as M365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams and SharePoint)
Ability to use agile/scrum project/program management principles and methodologies to consistently meet task deadlines, triage changing priorities, and track issues to resolution
Ability to collaborate across diverse teams with a customer service mindset
