Job Description

RL Enterprise Recruting and Staffing is seeking an experienced Inbound Logistics Specialist to join our client's distribution center.

Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of inbound supply chain dealing with containers, port knowledge, and handling international air, land, and sea shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communication and Coordination: Engage with freight forwarders and suppliers to facilitate the smooth coordination of inbound shipments. Collaborate closely with the demand planning team and the Global Logistics Manager to ensure timely confirmation of freight bookings.
• Transportation Planning: Plan and organize transportation for inbound shipments, optimizing shipping routes to minimize costs and enhance operational efficiency.
• Work closely with carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders, fostering strong to streamline the logistics process.
• Document Review and Compliance: Scrutinize all necessary shipping documents for accuracy and ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade laws.
• Liaise with warehouse teams to effectively manage the schedule of incoming inventory, ensuring a well-coordinated and organized workflow.
• Inventory Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels based on inbound shipments, contributing to proactive inventory management practices.
• Address any issues related to delays, damages, or disruptions promptly and efficiently, collaborating with internal departments such as DC operations, shipping/receiving, and outbound logistics.
• Maintain effective communication with external partners, including carriers and customs officials, to foster positive working relationships and ensure smooth operations.
• Provide daily updates on the status of inbound shipments to relevant stakeholders, keeping them informed and enabling proactive decision-making.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain.

Previous experience in inbound international logistics.

Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.

Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office tools.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
