RK Industries, LLC is Hiring a Product Manager Near Aurora, CO

Led by Rick and Jon Kinning, RK represents seven distinct lines of business that work together to provide seamless project collaboration. Position and Responsibilities Overview
  • Act as the product line evangelist to build awareness and understanding. Be the focal point for assigned product lines ensuring team activity coordination
  • Set the long-term vision and strategy for the assigned product lines.
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, First of Kind (FOK) and production models. Define product development and FOK action items and drive product initiatives in collaboration with the team
  • Gain an understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grows market share and improves the customer experience
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Evaluate market competition and position the product line so that it appeals to customers.
  • Identify potential distribution channels and strategic partners
  • Manage the product life cycle from concept, to design, FOK production, testing, mass production, and support.
  • Document and maintain product lines including changes and improvements
  • Product line offering focal point developing well thought out product offering for the company.
  • Provide technical, product, and sales support for the Company for assigned product lines
  • Accountable for the timely efficient completion of action items to support the sales of product lines
  • Responsible for the P&L, margin, and sales growth of assigned product lines
  • Provide oversight of quality of work ensuring it is maintained to a high standard
  • Promote employee and customer feedback on continuous improvements ideas.
  • Identify product build problems and recommend ideas to improve productivity, safety and quality
  • Demonstrate leadership skills, team-building skills and the ability to motivate effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications
  • 3 years product development experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience in off-site manufacturing or modular builds
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred
  • Excellent networking skills, especially with sales channels and social media
  • Energetic personality with good communication skills; a positive force within a team
  • Problem solving oriented, with a constant desire to improve and achieve higher grounds
  • Excellent decision-making capabilities.
  • Purchasing experience a plus
  • Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma process improvements
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence
  • Strong leadership skills and work ethic with the ability to influence team performance
  • Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Experience and technical understanding of modular processes and strategies
  • Solid technical background with understanding of product development and emerging technologies
  • Agriculture/Battery Energy Solutions/Data Center/Electrical/Power products experience preferred
  • ISO, 5S, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • RK Mechanical employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of RK Mechanical Orientation, shop specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10.
Minimum Physical Requirements
  • Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
  • Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
  • Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
  • Work in all types of weather.
  • Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
