Position Overview:

Rize is seeking passionate Lead Cannabis Consultants to join our Iron Mountain, MI team! The Lead Cannabis Consultant plays a primary role in ensuring the transaction process runs smoothly on the sales floor. The Lead Cannabis Consultant serves as a point of contact for staff on the sales floor when other managers are unavailable. The Lead Cannabis Consultant reports to the Store Manager. The individuals filling this role must be team-oriented, have a passion for professional development, and participate in continuous education about Cannabis. It is essential this individual is talented at both motivating people and keeping themselves educated.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Verifying of identification and state required documentation of all customers.

• Maintain a professional, friendly, and welcoming attitude to ensure the highest level of customer service.

• Ensuring the correct order is selected before beginning the check-out process.

• Ensure all subtotals of the order match the receipt

• Verify all products are in the order and all discounts are properly applied.

• Ensure the correct change is given back to the customer by carefully verifying all money exchanged while staying visible to the surveillance and camera system.

• Complying with local and state laws as well as company policies

• Maintain a clean, safe, and uncluttered workspace.

• Make product suggestions and assist customers in choosing products using proper cannabis education.

• Report all transaction discrepancies to an assistant manager or store manager.

• Engaging and inspiring all team members by modeling behavior that fosters the qualities of responsibility, communication, and education.

• Evaluating performance or operating issues and reporting it to a member of management.

• After each shift, properly count register drop using spreadsheet and log your register drop into Leaflogix.

• Inform management if there are any register discrepancies

• Ensure all cannabis consultants are efficiently staying on task

• Answer all questions about register transactions and assist with Returns.

• Close down all register drawers before the end of their shift.

• Assist Cannabis consultants with mid-day register drops

• Assist customers with questions regarding products and advising them on proper product usage

• Perform basic Opening and Closing procedures

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D is required.
• Must pass any and all background checks required by the state of Michigan.
• Knowledge of local and state cannabis laws and regulatory compliance required.
• Knowledge of cannabis products and therapies.
• 1 year of customer service and retail experience.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a positive personality.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, especially related to product, dosages, and money handling.
• Ability to easily adapt to changes and learn new tasks quickly.
• Thrive in a fast-paced work environment while working well with others.
• Open availability and flexible schedule; including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Familiar with various computer applications/possess basic computer skills.
• Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance). This job function may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching
• Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions

Background Check/Drug Screen:

As a condition of employment, all employees are required to submit to a criminal history background check and a Drug Screen (minus THC). Employment decisions, in compliance with state law, are based on a candidate's background report. Employees have a duty to report any changes in their background to their Manager as soon as the employee is aware of the event.

Job Type: Full-time (30 hours per week)

Hours: various shifts between 2:00 PM- 9:00 PM, nights/weekends/holidays

Pay: $18.25 per hour, biweekly
