Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team at our Dental Clinic Riviera Family Dentisrtry of Mesquite. In a Dental office your job as a Dental Assistant, will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, taking patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare and maintain patient records, including medical history and treatment plans
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintain a clean and sterile work environment
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control guidelines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- X-ray certification
- Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix or similar systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology is a plus
- Experience in taking vital signs and patient assessment is preferred
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
