Plant Manager - Memphis Operations
The Memphis facility has over 450 hourly and salaried employees engaged in the processing, packaging and shipment of rice products at the optimum low cost and high quality standards for a variety of consumer end uses. The Plant Manager is responsible for the planning, directing, operating and controlling of the manufacturing facility. The position has managerial responsibility for a staff of 11 across all functional areas (Processing, Packaging, Ready to Serve (RTS), Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, Sanitation, Safety, Finance, Warehouse and HR). 

Key Skills/Attributes Needed:

• The successful candidate must have extensive manufacturing operational knowledge
• 5 to 10 years of experience as a Plant Manager
• Must be able to provide guidance and direction to staff in a complex, fast paced environment
• Labor Relations/Union experience is highly preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
• Analyzes operations and develops solutions to problems to minimize or eliminate variances and production based challenges
• Strong collaborator and team builder to gain alignment and cohesiveness
• Excellent at developing subordinates for future leadership opportunities
• Ability to develop short and long-term strategies, then implement them from concept into executable components

Education:

• A Bachelors' degree in Engineering or Technical Degree is preferable
