As Finance Manager of the R1 Program, you'll lead the management of financials for all R1-related program changes. A successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to drive cost to affordable targets, build strong relationships with technical leaders, and be self-motivated to set solid financial foundations for future Rivian products.

* Function semi-autonomously as finance lead for R1 development, managing all aspects of profitability including BOM cost, investment, resourcing, revenue, and other unit costs* Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners including program, strategy, engineering, and purchasing to drive towards program profitability targets* Lead monthly forecast and annual budget process for R1 programs. Responsibilities include creating timelines for deliverables; communicating processes and timelines to business and finance partners and ensuring timelines are met; understanding all P&L line items, drivers of financial performance and communicating results and issues to management; preparing financial statements and presentations for Rivian management. Provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made; and ensuring reports are accurate and distributed in a timely manner* Manage and support month end close process, timely and complete reporting in line with Corporate Accounting policies and guidelines* Transform data into actionable insights and recommendations.* Evaluate current processes and tools to drive efficiencies and value-added enhancements* Provide ad hoc analytical support to influence decision making with financial perspective.

* 5 years of related business experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility

* Analytical, problem-solving, and advanced business acumen mindset* Proven ability to develop effective business partner relationships at the most senior levels of the finance organization and experience presenting and build relationships with internal stakeholders* General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles and theory* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment* Proven experience budgeting, planning, forecasting, closing and reconciling operating expenditures* Effective organizational skills reflecting prioritization with a sense of urgency* Bachelor's degree (MBA/CPA a plus) in Finance, Accounting or related field

Salary Range for Irvine, CA-based applicants: $135,000 - $155,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law
