Role Summary

Internship Term:

Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates.To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2024 to June 2026.

Note that if your university has specific requirements for internship programs, it is your responsibility to fulfill those requirements.

Support the Interiors team in managing the procurement of Interior Parts. This team includes interior trim, components, materials and finishes. This position will challenge you technically and encourage critical thinking while driving business decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed analysis of quote submissions based on cost breakdown and inform stakeholders.
  • Drive and implement cost reductions through leveraged negotiations to achieve cost targets.
  • Support the team in managing supplier relationships and performance through key performance metrics.
Qualifications
  • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Engineering or STEM Supply Chain program.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and its functionality, required.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets, required.
  • Experience using Tableau, preferred.
  • Coding background in Python or Sequel, preferred.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Engineering or Supply Chain Management, preferred.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in textile materials, or interiors, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to inform decision making through data, preferred.
  • No travel expected, but can be asked to visit local supplier sites as needed.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Internships: The range of pay for internships is 25.00-51.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, and other factors permitted by law.

Rivian provides robust wellness benefits, and a medical insurance package for interns, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
