Hair Stylist - Part Time

RiverWoods Exeter is currently seeking an experienced Hair Stylist to join our team. This role will be responsible for working with our residents at our Exeter, NH campus locations and is responsible for providing excellent customer service to our residents while providing them with a great new look. This is a contract position with work available 1 day a week.

Responsibilities

• Shampoo, cut, dye and style hair. Apply chemicals to change texture of hair.
• Work with razors, trimmers and other implements to achieve desired looks
• Give clients advice on how to maintain a hairstyle or look
• Explain the best ways to maintain hair health and why it's important
• Maintain supplies needed for hair styling

Qualifications

• A high-school diploma or equivalent
• State license from the State of NH
• Knowledge of hairstyles and trends, and the expertise to achieve these looks
• Experience using different types of scissors, trimmers and other tools to create hairstyles
• Knowledge of chemicals for hairstyles including coloring agents and solutions that change hair texture
• A willingness to learn about new styles and techniques
• The ability to communicate with customers and understand their needs
• Knowledge of related health, safety and cleanliness standards
• Proof of liability insurance required
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
