Position SummaryThe Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing compliance programs, policies, reporting, practices, and the work of the Compliance staff. The Compliance Manager ensures DOT compliance with company policies for all contracted motor carriers in the areas of random drug testing, pre-employment drug screening, CDL updates, and inspections.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain stationary for long periods of time and to communicate effectively with coworkers and outside stakeholders in person, on the telephone and via email and other computer-related messaging. The employee is occasionally required to maneuver about the work areas and manipulate various objects. Occasionally the employee will be expected to move boxes, and manipulate objects in various directions. This position may require extended work hours and travel.

- Ensuring new Contract Carriers and their Drivers/Helpers meet RLX qualifications.
- Reviewing and approving Contract Carriers onboarding documents to include, COI, USDOT, MC #, UCR
- Reviewing and approving motor carrier contractors’ pre-employment check.
- Internal and external communications regarding the pre-employment check and RLX qualifications.
- Conducting compliance audits of existing motor carriers
- Relationships with compliance vendors, both for internal and external matters
- Developing and implementing Compliance SOPs
- Setting up of new contract carriers in the operating system in a timely manner.
- Managing multiple direct reports on Compliance personnel including the time punctuality, performance, deadlines, PTO approvals, and disciplinary action along with day-to-day coaching
- Interviewing, selecting, and training Compliance employees.
- Managing logistics services.
- Other duties as assigned.
- At least 5 or more years of work experience with Compliance
- Familiarity with contractor requirements
- Exceptional communication skills
- Must have keen attention to details.
- Must have a high level of organizational and written communication skills.
- Exceptional project and personnel management skills with high integrity
- Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast growth environment.
