Job Details Job Location KS Kansas Avenue RTI - KANSAS CITY, KS Job Category Transportation Description Summary The Manager of Compliance and Risk Management will be knowledgeable in Federal DOT and FMCSA regulations and be expected to keep the organization, its trucks, and driving partners compliant in these areas at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Lead a team of 3 or more individuals focused on the day to day management of driver logging activities, driver file updates, permitting of units, and other compliance needs of the driving force. Manage internal accident reviews and apply root cause analysis principles to identify drivers needing extra training. Design and perform remedial training as needed. Manage the review process of all driver violations with regard to CSA and Company Policies, serving as a liaison with law enforcement as needed. Administer discipline for safety or compliance related violations as needed. Identify training needs based on CSA scores, logging trends, common incoming calls and conduct proactive safety related training. This training can be in a classroom setting or online as needed. Complete special projects and annual objectives as assigned Examples include end of year reporting, projects to attain yearly CSA/accident rate goals, developing training materials, etc Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises multiple non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
