Position Overview

Riverside Research is seeking a full-time Data Innovation Center Support Specialist to support our Commercial Innovation Center (CIC). The CIC plays a critical role in advancing the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the broader Department of Defense/Intelligence Community's (DoD/IC) mission by identifying, evaluating, and integrating premier commercial GEOINT sources. As a Data Integration Support Specialist within the CIC, you will facilitate the integration of procured commercial data into the NSG architecture, ensuring that NSG customers can efficiently find and access this data for their mission-critical operations. Your role will encompass extensive coordination with both domestic and international commercial suppliers, collaboration with infrastructure technical personnel and program offices, and serving as a subject matter expert on commercial data integration. By leveraging your expertise in cloud architecture, Python scripting, spatial data handling, and data analytics, you will ensure the seamless integration and accessibility of vital GEOINT data, thus enhancing the capabilities of the NSG and its customers across the DoD/IC.

Responsibilities

* Facilitate coordination with domestic and international commercial suppliers to ensure compliance and alignment with government approvals.
* Collaborate with infrastructure technical personnel and program offices for the smooth integration of new commercial GEOINT data sources into the NSG architecture.
* Serve as a technical subject matter expert on commercial GEOINT data integration, providing guidance and recommendations to optimize data access and visibility for NSG customers.
* Address and resolve data integration issues promptly, ensuring continuous data availability and access.
* Implement and manage cloud-based storage solutions in both classified and unclassified environments, utilizing AWS cloud architecture.
* Utilize Python scripting for data cleaning, preprocessing, and conversion tasks, handling spatial data file formats such as TIF, GeoJson, CSV, and Raster.
* Develop, execute, and oversee test and evaluation (T&E) plans for data onboarding and migration, ensuring data integrity and system compatibility.
* Manage databases in a secure manner, suitable for both classified and unclassified data environments, maintaining data availability and integrity.
* Work cross-functionally with system engineers, program managers, and data providers to facilitate the integration process and improve system functionalities.
* Other duties as assigned to support the mission and objectives of the CIC and ensure the successful integration of commercial GEOINT data into NSG operations.

Qualifications

Required:

* 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, or related STEM field; 6 years with a Master's degree.
* Active TS/SCI clearance.
* Proficiency in AWS cloud architecture for both classified and unclassified environments.
* Strong Python scripting skills for data manipulation and spatial data management.
* Knowledge of GIS technologies, Computer Vision algorithms, and object detection datasets.
* Experience with test and evaluation plans for data integration and migration.
* Database management expertise in secure environments.
* Effective collaboration with engineers, managers, and data providers.
* U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.

Desired:

* Advanced degree in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
* Certifications in AWS cloud services, Python programming, or GIS technologies.
* Experience with advanced spatial data analytics and machine learning applications in GEOINT.
* Expertise in the integration of diverse data sources into cloud-based platforms.
* Familiarity with the NSG architecture and its data standards.
* Proven track record of innovative problem-solving in data integration projects.
* Strong communication skills and experience in leading cross-functional project teams.

Global Comp
$130,000 - $175,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
