Job Title: Overnight Grocery Stocker

Shift Schedule: 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. with a dollar shift differential.

Position Overview:
As an Overnight Grocery Stocker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the shelves are fully stocked and ready for customers when they arrive in the morning. Working during the night shift, you will be responsible for restocking merchandise, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. This position offers a shift differential to compensate for the overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stocking and Merchandising:
• Receive incoming shipments and unload merchandise from delivery trucks.
• Efficiently stock shelves, displays, and coolers with merchandise according to store standards.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness and remove expired items from shelves.
• Maintain proper signage and pricing on shelves for easy customer navigation.
• Inventory Management:
• Conduct regular inventory counts to accurately track stock levels and identify discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or out-of-stock items.
• Assist with restocking and organizing backroom storage areas as needed.
• Follow procedures for handling and disposing of damaged or expired products.
• Cleaning and Maintenance:
• Keep aisles, shelves, and storage areas clean, organized, and free of clutter.
• Sweep and mop sales floor and backroom areas to maintain cleanliness.
• Ensure proper disposal of trash and recycling materials according to company guidelines.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management for prompt resolution.
• Customer Service:
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service when approached by shoppers.
• Assist customers in locating products and answering questions about merchandise.
• Direct customers to appropriate departments or team members for assistance as needed.
• Uphold store policies and procedures to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail stocking or related field preferred.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Working Conditions:

• This position primarily operates in a retail environment, including a grocery store setting.
• Overnight shift hours from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., with a dollar shift differential.
• Requires frequent lifting, bending, and reaching to handle merchandise and stock shelves.
• Exposure to refrigerated and frozen environments may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
