Position Summary: The Analyst Revenue is integral to the success of the Hotel Sales and Revenue Management team. The Reservations and Revenue Analyst is responsible for assisting the hotel with various sales, revenue initiatives, ensuring financial goals are met and consistent, high level of service is delivered with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of the hotel's sales and revenue objectives. The Analyst Revenue focuses on client and hotel objectives in support of our standards of service. The Analyst Revenue manages the hotel's inventory management through reactive and proactive efforts while maintaining accountability for achieving revenue opportunities under the guidance and supervision of the Revenue Manager

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000

Essential Job Functions:

  • Accurate preparation and distribution of daily, weekly and monthly revenue and sales reports. The reports include market segmentation analysis, production reports, source contribution analysis, daily pickup reports, preferred guest program analysis
  • Assist with ensuring rates are loaded and inventory maintenance is correct
  • Perform audits on all systems
  • Build and enter all group, contract room blocks, rooming lists and create personalized group websites and web links as needed
  • Proactively monitor room pick-up, cut off dates and release rooms that are not reserved in a timely manner while managing all reservations against the room blocks built
  • Maintain group pick-up reports and communicate with other departments regarding upcoming group cut-offs
  • Check for duplicated reservations
  • Ensure special billing, Casino Player, and VIP coding is done accurately
  • Review and charge no shows from the previous evening
  • Ensure all Advanced Purchase deposits and charges are in place
  • Communicate strategies and procedures to other departments as required
  • Must be knowledgeable of all rates, room types, and hotel product
  • Actively participate in weekly sales and revenue management meetings
  • Monitor and analyze the competition daily/weekly through shop reports and the internet to identify selling strategies and market trends
  • Assist in preparing short and long term forecasts
  • Provide administrative support to the Revenue and Sales Management Team
  • Review and analyze STAR report and present revenue opportunities
  • Prepare 7 day forecast for distribution to the leadership team so proper staffing levels are achieved
  • Submit daily and monthly actual statistics to STAR
  • Conduct group audit checks bi-weekly to ensure DELPHI and hotel PMS are in balance
  • Be knowledgeable of special rates, packages, and all promotions
  • Collaborate with all other operational departments to communicate group details via group resume pertaining to arrival/departure, billings, and special requests
  • Identify improvements to enhance the client experience. Maintain performance level when experiencing changes or challenges
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Advanced excel skills essential, including knowledge of pivot tables, complex formulas, charts, and building dashboards
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • Must have a high level of understanding of the hotel property management systems
  • Demonstrates independent problem solving skills and identify process improvements needed
  • Strong Microsoft excel, work and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of industry reports such as STR
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc from various sources to meet objectives
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to co-worker and internal clients
  • Must be technically skilled and have and have experience using data analysis tools such as SQL
  • Must be able to quickly learn software including Tableau, Infinium, and other casino specialized programs
  • Must have strong self-motivation and desire to learn and expand knowledge with little guidance
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
