Riverpoint Medical is Hiring a Production Technician Near Portland, OR

 
 

Riverpoint Medical in Northeast Portland is hiring for Production Technician. At Riverpoint you will be part of the process that brings great technology to Medical, Dental and Veterinary markets. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of premium medical devices. Our ingenuity can be found in our suture technologies, sports medicine fibers and anchors, surgical lighting, and special needle technologies. The Riverpoint Medical Production Technician will work in manufacturing to support the production processes. They will be responsible for putting together products using manufacturing equipment. The Production Technician will work Monday through Thursday from 6am-4:30pm for the training period and move to Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, this shift pays shift differential.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operating machinery and reporting any faults to management
  • Loading machinery with raw equipment and unloading finished goods
  • Working in a cleanroom environment
  • Build product to specs
  • Machine set up and take down
  • Performing and monitoring preventative maintenance on machinery
  • Adhering to production schedule
  • Reading and comprehending instructions
  • Following established procedures
  • Identify problems and suggest improvements

Education and Qualifications 

  • College degree a plus, high school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience as an assembly worker
  • Excellent math, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Able to interpret performance data of machine
  • Strong work ethic and a proactive mindset and analytical thinking skills.
  • Dexterity for handling small products.
  • Ability to work well on a team and be self-motivated when working alone. 
  • Good observational skills, good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to commit to flexible schedule and prompt arrival for shifts.
