Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and laundry
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings
- Engage in conversation and provide emotional support
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of client information
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving, social work, or a related field is preferred
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely
- Familiarity with hospice care principles is a plus
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills to keep track of client schedules and care plans
- Compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
