- OVERVIEW
Riverdale Global (www.riverdaleglobal.com) makes liquid color for plastics. Production batch sizes range from 1 gallon to 250 gallons. The Production Supervisor is responsible for assuring safe operations and continual workflow in their area and ensures staging of future jobs for employees to remain productive.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years experience supervising in a manufacturing environment
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of managing safety and quality programs & processes
- The ability to walk the production site while motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to production staff
- Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
- Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
- The ability to develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
- Shows close attention to detail
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Accurately perform math calculations related to percentages and conversions
- Proficient computer knowledge
- Ability to lift 50 pounds

DUTIES
- Support corporate initiatives related to Safety, our Quality Management System (QMS) and productivity efforts
- Identify bottlenecks in production workflow and make adjustments accordingly
- Reports all potential risks and issues to the upper management
- Assures workforce documentation is complete, legible and provides full material traceability
- Manage attendance, scheduling and PTO for the manufacturing team
- Assures workforce are following all rules pertaining to breaks and designated lunch times.
- Managing workforce to always be at their work stations and working safely.
- All operations are in accordance to the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ensure that all materials and tools are provided to fulfill work orders in a safe and timely fashion.
- Assure all work stations are clean, neat and organized.
