Job Summary:
As a Cabinet Finisher, you will be responsible for applying the final finishes to custom cabinetry and furniture pieces. Your expertise will be crucial in achieving high-quality, flawless finishes that enhance the aesthetics and durability of our products. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, knowledge of various finishing techniques, and a passion for craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for finishing by sanding, filling, and sealing wood materials.
Apply stains, paints, and topcoats to cabinets and furniture according to specified colors and finishes.
Use spray guns, brushes, or other tools to apply finishes evenly and accurately.
Ensure that all finishing work meets quality standards and customer specifications.
Inspect finished products for imperfections and make necessary touch-ups or corrections.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage and disposal of finishing materials.
Collaborate with other team members to coordinate workflow and meet production deadlines.
Stay updated on new techniques and materials in cabinet finishing to improve processes and outcomes.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a cabinet finisher or similar role in woodworking or furniture manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of wood types, stains, paints, and finishing techniques.
Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for finishing, such as sanders, spray guns, and brushes.
Ability to read and interpret design plans and finishing specifications.
