Job Overview:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented part-time handyman to join our team. This position is an independent Contractor 1099. No taxes deducted. Need references.

Hours are flexible.

Your primary duties include:

• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to troubleshooting/fixing appliances, toilets, air conditioner, minor carpentry, plumbing and electrical, and painting;
• Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs;
• Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention;
• Respond to repair request on an as needed basis;
• Caulking, touch up painting, hanging pictures/mirrors, fixing cabinet doors;
• Install or remove window curtains and lights or hang ceiling fans;
• Assemble simple furniture on an as needed basis;

Requirements:

• Prior experience in general building maintenance or construction is a must;
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electricity, and equipment mechanics is a must;
• Previous background from Airbnb, vacation rental or apartment building maintenance is preferred;
• Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, good work ethic, can-do attitude, and able to self direct required;
• Flexible availability due to emergency repairs and needs; ability to work varying hours and schedules to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays;
• Must be responsive to calls and texts;
• Must be able to read instruction manuals;
• Can communicate effectively with guests and rental managers;
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility;
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds.
