JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
PhysicalTherapy Assistants work closely with Physical Therapists and other members ofthe multidisciplinary team to provide rehabilitative care to patients in theirhome.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Counsel patientsand their families on their treatment and plan of care.
- Observe thepatients they are working with before, during and after therapy and reportnotes to the Physical Therapist.
- Assign specificexercises for the patient and help the patients do these exercises.
- Use devices, suchas walkers, and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reducepain.
- Use a variety oftechniques, including stretching exercises and massage, to treat patients.
- Assist patients
- Licensed in the State of Wisconsin (preferred).
- Licensed in any state.
