Golf Shop Attendant

Summary: We are seeking a friendly, customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Golf Shop Attendant. As the first point of contact for our patrons, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all golfers. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including assisting customers with purchases, managing inventory, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop, and contributing to the overall operation of the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance and answering any questions they may have.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Assist customers in selecting golf equipment, apparel, and accessories based on their needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, including dusting shelves, arranging merchandise displays, and restocking inventory.
• Perform routine inventory checks and assist with receiving and stocking shipments.
• Keep track of merchandise sales and inventory levels, reporting any discrepancies to management.
• Provide information about golf course services, rates, and upcoming events to customers.
• Assist with tee time reservations and coordinate golf course activities as needed.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service across all areas of the facility.

Requirements:

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories is advantageous but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using basic computer programs and point-of-sale systems.
• Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Passion for golf and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.

Compensation:

• Pay rate: $10-12 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
