Ideally our candidate will have several years of experience in HR in a similar field including
benefits administration (restaurant payroll experience a plus). Microsoft Office proficiency (esp
Excel) is required. SHRM certifications also preferred, but not required. We would like to see a
record of outstanding relations between all levels of staff and execs. The ability to travel
between locations occasionally is also a plus.
Working closely with office management team for staff onboarding, orientations,
recruiting and recordkeeping. Maintaining compliance with legal and defensible hiring
practices. Audit employee files quarterly for
accuracy/compliance. Maintain updates to date company HR materials: handbooks, management HR training
materials, counseling and disciplinary forms, work comp and guest injury forms.
Benefits administration: Yearly plan analysis/employee census and decision making in
accordance with federal
requirements,scheduling and executing meetings annually for
open enrollment of hourly staff members
Ongoing benefits admin: tracking, notifying, and recording employee eligibility and
enrollment records, ACA compliance census keeping, insurance billing reconciliation and
employee deduction calculations
Unemployment claim responses and recordkeeping
Workers Compensation claim reporting, research and communication with carrier,
ongoing
maintenance/recordkeeping and follow-up
Assist payroll with garnishment
research,responses, entry and termination notices
Payroll data entry alongside staff accountants and office managers
Maintaining compliance with currentstate and federal HR regulations, OSHA records,
legal posters
Assist accounting with Cafeteria Plan and W2 insurance code yearly audits and filing
Yearly Censusreporting
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing our brand within
the restaurant, office, and local community
