River Edge offers outpatient services at our Emery Highway-Macon, Monroe County and Baldwin County locations. Outpatient services include behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and medication maintenance services as well as crisis intervention services as well as awareness, education and recovery groups.
River Edge is looking to fill the position of Family Support Coordinator with/at our Developmental Disabilities Day Service Program.

Position Summary:
The Family Support Coordinator provides services to individuals with significant developmental disability and/or autism spectrum disorder who are 3 years old or older to continue to live with his or her family. This position helps families stay together by making available individualized goods, services, supports, adaptive devices or home modifications that help prevent crises related to the significant developmental disability and/or autism spectrum disorder that could result in out of home placement.
In this role you will be: Provides support services and advocacy to 300 adults and children and their families in Bibb, Jones, Twiggs, Monroe, Putnam, Baldwin, and Wilkinson Counties. The coordinator will complete all intakes in the Family support program, disbursement of funds, maintenance of files, compiling reports; participate in public relation activities and community outreach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct intakes on new families and provide support in developing support plan and goals.
  • Participate in meetings and events outside of agency to facilitate and enhance partnerships with community resources.
  • Keeps current and accurate records and individual files.
  • Oversight and facilitation to disperse funding sources within annual budget.
  • Completes, maintains, and submits required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Attending quarterly Family Support meetings.
  • Ensures confidentiality with all individual records.
  • Communicates effectively, clearly and positively and professionally when interacting with individuals served, co-workers, families, and community members.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field- social work, public service, sociology, psychology with one year’s experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation
  • Acceptable Driving record
  • Acceptable background check
  • Must be able to pass drug screen
  • Ability to pass basic CPR and first aid.

Location/Schedule:
175 Emery Hwy, Macon, GA 31217; Monday through Friday 8-4:00 or flexible 4 10-hour days
