Job Summary:

The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for treating up to 20-25 patients a day in a busy Outpatient Clinic – University Chest Medicine.

Essential Job Functions:

• Treat patients in an outpatient setting.
• Perform outpatient endoscopies on an as needed basis.
• Treating conditions including: inflammatory bowel disease, jaundice, liver disorders, anemia, gastrointestinal bleeding, irritable bowel syndrome, gastrointestinal cancers and any other conditions consistent with specialty.
• Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
• Regular attendance.
• Travel as required.

Competencies

• 10 years of experience as a Gastroenterologist

Supervisor Responsibility

• This position does not have supervisor responsibilities but will have access to staff support in the clinic.

Education and Licensure

• BA/BS degree in related field is required.
• Current and Valid California Physician Medical License. 
• Board Certification is preferred.

Travel

• The incumbent may travel up to 10% of the time.

Work Environment

This job operates in an Outpatient Clinic setting. A typical daily case load would be up to 20-25 patients per day.
