Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a dental office setting. Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the office's phone system
- Collect patient information, update records, and ensure accuracy of data
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Assist with billing and financial transactions
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists as needed
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient operation of the front desk area
- Provide administrative support to dental staff as required
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or medical administrative support role is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and dental procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and phone systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
