We’re hiring a Licensed Therapist at RISE Behavioral Health in Denver, CO an affiliate of Rite of Passage(this position will provide services to our Idaho Springs location). What you’ll do:

The Licensed Therapist works as a staff member of the Student Services / Education Team. Primarily responsible for providing therapeutic services to students and their families. This position reports to the Clinical Director and/or Director of Student Services or other designated supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provides individual, family and group therapy as indicated by program/school needs.
  2. Develops and oversees the completion of treatment on an individual, family and group basis. Services include: clinical assessment, service planning, individual, group, family and milieu therapies, counseling, case management, record keeping and service coordination with a multi-disciplinary team.
  3. Develops expertise in differential assessment, treatment readiness and change model, and motivational interviewing.
  4. Documents and assesses the effectiveness of specific interventions toward meeting the objectives and goals of the treatment plan.
  5. Documents all therapy and contacts with clients and other service providers.
  6. Maintains clients’ clinical files in a timely and orderly fashion.
  7. Provides crisis intervention as needed. Ensures documentation is completed.
  8. Transports clients for therapeutic services when needed.
  9. Prepares monthly progress notes, staffing reports, plans and discharge summaries.
  10. Provides clinical supervision to staff and interns.
  11. Provides oversight of skill groups.
  12. Ensures the safety, health and welfare of staff and students at all times.
  13. Provides encouragement, guidance and resources to staff and students when needed.
  14. Models and ensures all program norms are upheld without compromise.
  15. Acts as a positive role model and mentor for both staff and students.
  16. Treats others with respect, confronts negative behavior and supports confrontations.
  17. Completes required reports and documentation in a timely manner, provides management with required reports and advises of any problematic situations.
  18. Complies with and implements the Rite of Passage Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals/handbooks.
  19. Ensures the highest standards are maintained to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and to ensure the program remains in compliance with agency licensing and Rite of Passage policies and procedures.
  20. Assists with the correction of deficiencies and quality improvement efforts.
  21. Participates in collaborative review team meetings and attends and participates in all other required meetings.
  22. Commits to attending all training and staff development classes in order to ensure sufficient hours of training on an annual basis. Notifies supervisor if annual training hours are deficient.
  23. Other duties as assigned, verbally or in written form to meet the needs of the program.

To be considered, you should:

  1. Possess the education and current specific licensure required per licensing.
  2. Obtain the appropriate number of CEUs each year to maintain licensure, if applicable.
  3. One year of prior experience working in a residential/school setting with at-risk students, their families and the Juvenile Justice System.
  4. Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.
  5. Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
