THE POSITION

The Employment Specialist provides a variety of employment services, including but not limited to: job seeking, job retention skill building, resume writing, site development and job placement, community based work adjustment, job coaching and job shadowing. Due to the autonomy associated with this position, employees are required to maintain accurate time and mileage logs, as well as accurate billing information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Establish successful employment outcomes for clients
  • Provide communication regarding progress to all clients and providers as appropriate
  • Create and implement behavioral objectives and goals on the jobsite with clients
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members
  • Develop appropriate work sites in the community
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
  • Previous employment services, human service experience and/or sales and marketing experience
  • Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and car insurance
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must provide or obtain CPR/First Aid Certification (provided by RISE)
