As our Fan DevelopmentIntern, you'll spend the 2024-2025 NBA Season helping plan and implementfan development initiatives to help grow Trail Blazers brand affinity and deepen connections with audiences that are currently underrepresented within our fanbase.

About the Internship:

• Internship Duration: August 2024 to April 2025, with the potential for an extension.
• Part-time commitment: Expect to work an average of 28 hours per week.
• Location: Portland, Oregon; this is an on-site role, not remote.
• Industry: Dive into the dynamic world of Sports & Entertainment, gaining exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into what it truly means to be part of the team behind the team.

As our Fan Development Intern, you will:

• Assist with omnichannel marketing campaigns for fan development initiatives
• Support the Rip City Kids Club, including developing monthly newsletters, maintaining the headquarters, implementing events, coordinating the fulfillment of prizes and more.
• Research and identify new youth and fan engagement opportunities to achieve department goals.
• Orchestrate fan and community-related events in our NBA home market
• Assist with planning and execution of month and game-specific Cultural Celebrations, season-long initiativesand more
• Lead the development and delivery of marketing assets using project management software
• Track, analyze and report data for campaigns in the market.
• Be responsible for content and messaging on Fan Development websites
• Coordinate storage and tracking inventory giveaways, prizes, and marketing assets
• Provide general support to the Fan Development department and organization as needed.

• Are in the process of or have recently obtained a degree in Hospitality, Communications, Business, or a related degree with transferrable skills.
• Have experience leading and professionally speaking to varying group sizes in dynamic environments.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a team with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Can prioritizemultiple projects and deadlines, and stay organized with an attention to detail.
• Maintain a high-level of confidentiality and exercise discretion when working with sensitive or proprietary information.
• Can move around campus and events, bend, reach, and lift materials that are 20-50lbs.
• Are available to work a flexible schedule, which could include office hours, Trail Blazers home games, and evening/weekend responsibilities.
