RiNo Dental is Hiring a Full or Part Time Dental Assistant OR EDDA Near Denver, CO

Job Summary: The dental assistant is responsible for providing high-quality assistance to the dental team in a private practice dental office. The assistant performs a variety of tasks to ensure efficient dental procedures, excellent patient care, and a clean and organized dental environment. They work closely with the dentist, dental hygienist, and administrative staff to deliver outstanding dental services to patients.

Job Responsibilities:

Assisting the dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments, maintaining suction, and anticipating the dentist's needs.

Preparing treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use.

Taking dental X-rays, as directed by the dentist.

Assisting with dental charting, recording treatment information, and updating patient records accurately.

Providing chairside assistance during dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, and crown preparations.

Educating patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and answering their questions about treatment procedures.

Performing preliminary oral examinations, such as taking blood pressure and updating medical history.

Managing infection control procedures, including sterilizing instruments, disinfecting surfaces, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Ordering and maintaining dental supplies and equipment inventory.

Scheduling and confirming patient appointments, managing the dental office's appointment system efficiently.

Assisting with front office duties, such as answering phone calls, managing patient records, and processing insurance claims.

Assisting with dental lab work, including pouring and trimming models and fabricating temporary crowns.

Maintaining dental equipment and ensuring proper functioning by following maintenance and troubleshooting protocols.

Staying updated on dental procedures, technologies, and regulations through continuing education and professional development.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program preferred.

X-ray certification and CPR certification required.

Proven experience as a dental assistant in a private practice dental office is highly desirable.

Knowledge of dental instruments and procedures, including sterilization techniques.

Familiarity with dental software and computer proficiency.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Attention to detail and accuracy in recording patient information.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in handling patient information.

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects.

Willingness to adapt to changes and work in a fast-paced environment.

Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive dental experience.
