Riney-Walden, Inc is Hiring a Community RN Near Hannibal, MO

Are you a Registered Nurse? Looking to make some extra cash? Want to make your own schedule? Love working with people but need a change from bedside nursing? We have the job for you!!

RWI is seeking a Community RN to oversee our 7 ISL homes in Hannibal. There are 3 individuals living in each home and they cannot wait to meet you!!

What does a Community RN do? The Community RN (CRN) monitors the health and safety of the individuals we support. The following are some of the duties of the CRN:

  • Assess the vitals and weight of each individual
  • Ensure that all medical paperwork is obtained (it is not your responsibility to obtain the paperwork, just let us know what is needed).
  • Review the individual's record monthly to include physician orders and the medication administration record.
  • Ensure that all doctor's orders are being followed.
  • Ensure that all medications are administered as ordered.
  • Submit a monthly review for each individual by the 10th of each month.
  • Complete a monthly face-to-face assessment of the individual and record any findings, a minimum of 1.25 hours per individual, per month. (Approximately 25 hours a month)
  • You choose your hours!(Within certain parameters that meets the needs of the individuals)

Other duties may include:

  • RN delegations that will be performed by a L1MA
  • Communicate with agency administration of pertinent information in the individual‘s health status and needs
  • Delegate our Direct Support Professionals (Unlicensed Assistive Personnel) who perform such duties as medication administration.
  • Instruct monthly Level 1 Med Aide Course to new staff members and Re-certification Course to existing staff members.
  • Being available to answer questions via text, email, or phone.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a current/active registered nursing license in state of practice as well as any additional requisite certifications per discipline.
  • 2 years of experience as a practicing nurse in a related field.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Must be PC proficient.
  • Must have basic proficiency in math skills, including ratios, percentages, graphs, etc.
  • Must have above average reasoning skills and be capable of solving practical problems on a regular basis.
  • Must have acceptable writing skills.
  • Must be highly organized and efficient.
  • Must display a professional appearance.
  • Must be extremely dependable and have excellent work attendance.
  • Must be able to pass all required background checks.
  • Able to satisfactorily complete all required training courses.
  • Able to safely perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Talk, stand, walk, run, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and get in and out of vehicles
  • Lift, move, or exert force equivalent to 100 pounds
  • Move from one area on site to another quickly and without hesitation
  • Perform maneuvers as required by CPR and First Aid training

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $39.00 - $41.00 per hour
