As a school community, we value collaboration and work to develop well-rounded, curious, and confident learners. The preschool teacher will work with 4-year-old preschoolers in our full-day program. Please submit your application to join our preschool team.Our educators •Provide a safe, secure student-centered learning environment to promote and support student growth.•Establish rapport with students to foster social and academic development.•Supervise students and manage student behavior to create and maintain a safe, productive learning environment.•Plan, organize and instruct students in developmentally appropriate activities to improve academic and social skills through a defined course of study.•Communicate expectations and curriculum requirements for the purpose of reinforcing classroom goals to improve student achievement.•Collaborate with instructional staff, school personnel, parents, and/or community members to improve the quality of student learning.•Utilize methods required to perform classroom and/or subject specific assignments that accomplish student-learning targets to provide an effective learning program.•Implement academic, behavioral and health plans (for example, IEPs, intervention plans, care plans, 504 plans, etc.) to comply with regulatory requirements and established guidelines.•Participate in meetings to convey and/or gather required information.•Inform parents and/or legal guardians of student progress to communicate student achievement, develop methods for improvement, and reinforce classroom goals.•Model classroom procedures and expectations to demonstrate appropriate social and interpersonal behavior.•Respond to inquiries from a variety of sources (for example, other teachers, parents, and administrators) to resolve issues and provide information and/or direction.•Create and adapt lesson plans and classroom work to provide students with instruction that meets their respective needs within the established curriculum.•Prepare various materials (for example, grades, attendance, and anecdotal records) to document student progress and meet mandated reporting requirements.•Assess student progress towards objectives, expectations, and goals and provide feedback to students, parents, and administrators to establish transparent processes and develop learning community support.•Administer required assessments to measure student achievement levels and/or adapt curriculum and instruction.•When assigned, directs the work of pre-service student teachers, volunteers, and instructional assistants (paraprofessionals and tutors) in the classroom to meet the needs of students.•Establish and maintain collegial and cooperative relationships with school personnel, parents and community members in order to optimize student learning outcomes, opportunities and improvements•Organize and ensure the availability of equipment, materials, and personnel to achieve educational and safety objectives (e.g., field trips, first aid coverage, transportation, assemblies).•Report incidents promptly to ensure the personal safety of students and adhere to federal, state, and district laws and policies.•Respond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety concerns and/or refer matters to appropriate personnel for resolution.•Participates in and incorporates professional development into classroom instruction to implement curriculum, increase achievement, and support district and school improvement initiatives.•Address recertification requirements to maintain state certification and highly qualified status.•Act with integrity, fairness and in an ethical manner to maintain functional relationships with students and colleagues.•Know and follow school district policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal law to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines.•Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the school.
